Dr Karen Heslop-Marshall (PhD)
Karen has worked in respiratory nursing for over 30 years. Karen's passion is addressing the psychological impact of respiratory disease on patients. Karen is on a mission to help improve the care patients receive using cognitive behavioural therapy skills and offers training to health care professionals interested in developing their skills.
Karen works at Newcastle upon Tyne NHS Hospitals Foundation Trust, is an honorary senior lecturer at Edge Hill University and an associate researcher at Newcastle University. Karen is also a British Lung Foundation Professional Respiratory Nurse. Karen lives in beautiful Northumberland on the coast with her family and two energetic dogs.
